Do you like beautiful, high quality jewellery? Ever had an idea to make a set for yourself? Or for your beloved ones? Here is the possibility! Porcelain is a beautiful, pure white material, the finest clay of the Earth. Strong and durable once fired on high temperature, but still thin and delicate. Elegant finish, endless possibilities. Wide range of beautiful coloured glazes? Colourful or black and white? Modern, classic, simple, complicated, sculptural, unique? Give it a go, and wear your own, handmade pieces! All materials provided, you can bring your ideas, and enthusiasm. No previous experience needed, as you will be guided through the steps of making by your host, Erika. She will teach you how to hand craft delicate jewellery pieces from simple to more elaborate shapes, and guide you through different methods Expect to learn techniques as; hand cutting, surface decorating, glazing, while making a range of pieces, including pendants, earrings, rings, brooches, and cufflinks. Supplied with a set of jewellery findings, allergy free, either sterling silver or gold vermeil. The class takes 2.5 h: first hour is the actual making time. Choosing your shapes, cutting, shaping. Second hour, after sufficient drying time, is the cleaning/refining process. Final step is choosing your colours, glazes and carefully applying on the finished pieces. After the class the finished jewellery need to be fired on 1250C, and fitted with findings. So after few days they will be ready to pick up in person or posted to participants address (postage fees applies)
